Built primarily by Sri Lankan Tamil refugees, this impressive Hindu temple was consecrated on 7 July 2002 and stands as the largest Dravidian-style Hindu place of worship in mainland Europe, second only to the Neasden Temple in London across the entire continent. The temple is dedicated to Kamakshi, a form of the goddess Tripura Sundari, and features radiant architecture adorned with diverse and artistic carvings that reflect Tamil culture and spirituality. The temple attracts thousands of visitors annually, particularly during its colorful festival celebrations that showcase intercultural exchange. Visitors are welcomed with free admission and ample parking, while the scent of incense creates a mystical atmosphere throughout the sacred space.
