Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Gadhada, also known as Gopinathji Dev Mandir, stands as a significant pilgrimage site within the Swaminarayan Sampradaya. The temple was constructed on land donated by Dada Khachar, a devoted follower whose family facilitated the project. Swaminarayan himself oversaw the construction and participated in manual labor, lifting stones and mortar during the building process. The shrine showcases architectural refinement with its two-story design, three prominent domes, and ornamental carvings. The complex includes a spacious courtyard, assembly hall, and substantial dharamshalas and kitchens to accommodate ascetics and pilgrims. The temple sits elevated on a high plinth, reflecting its sacred importance within the sect.
