About the temple

The Shiva Temple in Kera, also known as Lakheshwara temple, is a 10th-century Hindu shrine built during the Chaulukya dynasty reign in Gujarat's Kutch district. Despite severe damage from earthquakes in 1819 and 2001, its spire, inner sanctum, and sculptures remain in attractive condition. The shrine draws devotees through the day for darshan and aarti, with the atmosphere reaching its peak during the evening rituals and on festival days when special pujas are performed.
