About the temple
Rudra Mahalaya in Siddhpur, Gujarat is a partially ruined medieval Hindu temple complex dedicated to Lord Shiva, constructed between 943 and 1140 CE by Chaulukya dynasty rulers. Though damaged by successive invasions and conversions, remnants of its ornate architecture and spiritual significance endure. The shrine draws devotees through the day for darshan and aarti, with the atmosphere reaching its peak during the evening rituals and on festival days when special pujas are performed.
