About the temple

Parasurameswara Temple in Bhubaneswar is one of Odisha's oldest surviving Hindu temples, built around 650 CE and dedicated to Lord Shiva. It exemplifies early Kalinga architectural style and houses a thousand Shivalingas at its northwest corner. The shrine draws devotees through the day for darshan and aarti, with the atmosphere reaching its peak during the evening rituals and on festival days when special pujas are performed.
