About the temple

Omkareshwar is the fourth Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva, situated on the northern bank of the Narmada River in Madhya Pradesh. It is the only Jyotirlinga located along the northern shore of the river and is believed to be where Shiva rests after traversing the three worlds daily. The shrine draws devotees through the day for darshan and aarti, with the atmosphere reaching its peak during the evening rituals and on festival days when special pujas are performed.
